The Christmas Truce

The CHANT Choir sang an arrangement of Silent Night to commerorate the Christmas Truce, an unofficial ceasefire that took place along the Western Front during the first Christmas of war.

Working with the National Football Museum, CHANT produced a new arrangement of Silent Night to feature male voices to echo those present at the truce and young voices to to give hope and awareness for our future.

CHANT worked with six schools within Warrington, Wigan and Greater Manchester to produce a 120 strong choir to perform at The Nation Football Museum on the 18th Dec to launch their exhibition 'The Greater Game: Football and The First World War' The Exhibition will tell the stories of players and fans during World War One, and the role football played at home and on the front during the war years. 

CHANT were delighted to have the involvement of Alaistair Campbell playing the bagpipes, The Band and Corps of Drums of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers,
